Workwear designed in Finland.

We dress the professionals who keep everyday life running

Medanta is a Finnish professional fashion house that has been renewing workwear, or "professional fashion," for over 15 years.

Medanta was born from the need to create workwear that feels as good as it looks.

We wanted to design the best possible workwear for those who keep society running every day.

Our workwear is a visible part of everyday life in hospitals, restaurants, and other service environments, and therefore, design always starts from the user's needs.

Finnish Professional Workwear

As a sign of Finnish design, Medanta's workwear and workwear materials have been awarded the Design from Finland mark.

The mark indicates that the product or service has been professionally and user-centrically designed in Finland. The Design from Finland mark signifies Finnish work and that investment has been made in design.

"It is a matter of honour for us that we design our workwear in Finland."

We design and manufacture beautiful clothes that make you feel good.

Our customers keep society going by caring for and nurturing people. Our workwear is used every day in hospitals, nursing homes, kitchens, restaurants and customer service. The wearers of our workwear are the true professionals in the field of workwear. That's why we have always listened to their views when designing our collections.

“At its best, workwear is empowering and cool.”

“I'm not a designer who blows everything up and does something completely crazy. I enjoy my products ending up on people, because that's what they're meant to be,” says Anssi Ruokokoski, Medanta's designer.

What is the best workwear?

Durable and washable, safe and flexible, breathable and comfortable. Can workwear be all of these? Yes, it can, because your workwear is the most important thing to us.

User-centered design

Our collections are created in collaboration with our customers

Our collections are created in cooperation with our customers, the actual users of the clothing.

Employers currently want to invest in broader workwear collections, so that not all employees have to wear the same type of work shirt, but staff can choose the clothes they prefer from the options and thus dress more individually.

In addition to the products in our online store, we design custom workwear collections.

The design of each workwear collection begins by listening to the customer's needs.

We map out the requirements of different professional groups, collect feedback on existing workwear, interview employees, and observe their work environments.

The cuts, pocket placements, and fit of the workwear are tested together with the users so that the clothing supports work and does not hinder it.

It is important to us that the work attire provides professional self-confidence and also serves as an extension of the company's brand.

Customer-specific collections

Medanta dresses the rapidly internationalizing Mehiläinen

"A uniform and centralised collection: using the same fabrics and colours for all countries is in itself a responsible choice. This allows us to utilise long production runs and avoids producing small, separate series for the needs of different countries,” says Satu Suominen, Procurement Director at Mehiläinen.

The Solo Sokos Hotel Pier 4 workwear collection was designed with sustainability and functionality in mind.

"Our goal is to be Finland's most climate-responsible hotel. We wanted that core of our entire operation to be reflected in our workwear choices as well. In addition to sustainability, the comfort of the workwear was an essential factor," says Hotel Manager Petra Wikström.
