The factories used by Medanta are certified (ISO 9001) to quality standards and have undergone ISO14000 series environmental audits and inspections.
All factories used by Medanta have the Öko Tex standard.
We require all our partner factories and subcontractors to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct. We have clearly outlined our common operating principles and ensure that they are known to everyone and part of everyday life. The factories also sign Medanta's principles of good cooperation and business conduct.
For us, social responsibility means that we require factories in the supply chain to ensure gender equality, fair wages, occupational safety and respect for individual rights in accordance with the goals of the International Labor Organization (ILO )'s fundamental rights at work.
We are committed to the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) principles. The BSCI principles guarantee, among other things, fair pay, reasonable working hours, permanent employment, the right to organize and occupational safety. Child labor, forced labor, discrimination and other inhumane treatment are prohibited.
We believe in transparency and therefore quality control is always carried out by a third, independent party.
The raw fabrics in Medanta's collections are dyed with environmentally friendly textile dyes. We do not accept the use of chemicals, dyes and heavy metals that are harmful to health and the environment. The products meet the criteria set for shrinkage, abrasion resistance and color fastness according to workwear standards. Quality control is always carried out by a third, independent party. Medanta's products are free of harmful substances and safe for their users.
How do we reduce waste?
Our customers receive their orders in a recycled, clean cardboard box. The products in the online store are shipped in environmentally friendly Paptic wood fiber paper bags. We use environmentally friendly dyes. Our production is designed to minimize the creation of chemical pollution. We offer our customers product recycling through Rester. The reuse rate in 2022 was 60–70%.
