1. General

Welcome to the MEDANTA online store! These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the sale of products through the website www.medanta.fi between Medanta Oy ("Medanta") and consumer customers ("Customer"). Separate terms apply for business customers. You can find them here.

In addition to these Terms, Medanta’s general website terms of use apply to the online store.

3. Online Store Usage
The online store is open to all individuals aged 18 or older with a valid email address and a delivery address in mainland Finland.

Customers must provide accurate personal information during transactions. Customers are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and must promptly notify Medanta of any changes that affect pending deliveries.

4. Ordering Products
To place an order, the Customer selects a product and quantity from the online store. Selected items are added to the shopping cart, where quantities can be edited or items removed before confirming and paying for the order. Product availability shown in the cart may change before payment. Medanta reserves the right to limit the purchase quantity of promotional items per customer.

A binding order is formed when the Customer submits the order (see section "Right of Withdrawal"). Customers should carefully review their order, accept the terms, and make the payment. The Customer understands and agrees that submitting an order entails a payment obligation.

Medanta sends an order confirmation to the email address provided by the Customer. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the order confirmation matches their intended purchase.

Medanta reserves the right not to accept an order, for instance, if the product or a suitable replacement is no longer available.

5. Prices
Product prices are valid until further notice or for a specific promotional period. Products are charged at the price in effect at the time of the order, as shown in the order confirmation. If a product has been listed at an incorrect price, Medanta is not bound by the price if the Customer knew or should have known it was incorrect.

Prices include VAT. Shipping and handling costs are not included in the product prices but are listed separately during checkout and in the order confirmation.

Shipping costs depend on the selected delivery method and are shown before payment. If an order cannot be shipped all at once due to product availability, Medanta will ship items in multiple batches at no additional delivery cost.

6. Payment Methods
Payment is made at the end of the ordering process. Once the payment is accepted, the order moves to Medanta’s processing and delivery phase. SSL encryption is used for secure transactions.

Customers can pay using major Finnish online banks (Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, OP-Pohjola, S-Pankki, Säästöpankki, Ålandsbanken), credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Mobile payment (MobilePay, Siirto) and invoice and instalment payment (OP-lasku, Walley).

The payment service provider is Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7), in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail appears as the payment recipient on account statements and forwards payments to Medanta. For complaints, don't hesitate to get in touch with the product supplier, Medanta Oy.

7. Product Availability
Medanta aims to keep product availability and descriptions accurate and up to date but does not guarantee error-free listings or product availability. Some items are produced in limited quantities or may be temporarily out of stock.

If an ordered item is temporarily or permanently unavailable, Medanta will inform the Customer promptly using the contact details provided.

If the product is unavailable or delivery would take over a month, Medanta will fully refund the price paid for that product. Medanta’s customer service will contact the Customer to offer options such as waiting for delivery or receiving a replacement product.

8. Delivery of Products
Medanta delivers to addresses in mainland Finland. The Customer selects the delivery method from the available Posti options before payment.

Delivery time depends on product availability, destination, and the selected delivery method. Standard delivery time is typically 2–7 business days. Medanta aims to deliver products as soon as possible and within 30 days of order confirmation.

Unclaimed packages will be returned to Medanta after approximately fifteen (15) days. If the Customer does not pick up the product and does not submit a cancellation notice, the order is considered cancelled.

If the Customer fails to collect the item and it is returned to Medanta without a cancellation notice within 14 days of the delivery notification, the order is considered cancelled. Medanta may charge a €10.00 handling fee and deduct it from the refund before returning any payments.

9. Delivery Delays
If delivery is delayed, Medanta will inform the Customer and provide a new estimated delivery time.

Customers may invoke their consumer protection rights in case of delay. Medanta is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or outdated contact information provided by the Customer.

10. Product Inspection, Complaints, and Defect Liability
Upon receiving the delivery, the Customer must inspect the products immediately. Any defects or discrepancies must be reported to info@medanta.fi within 14 days.

Medanta strives to accurately present product features, including material and color details. Color perception may vary depending on the Customer's device and is not considered a defect if minor color differences occur.

If a defect is confirmed, Medanta has the right to correct it or replace the product within a reasonable time. Medanta is responsible for product defects in accordance with Finnish consumer protection law.

Liability does not cover normal wear, damage from improper use or care, or unauthorized repairs. No separate warranty is provided.

11. Right of Withdrawal
Customers may cancel their order for unused products within 14 days of receiving them by emailing info@medanta.fi. The email must include the Customer’s name, contact details, and order number, and be titled "Cancellation notice."

Exchanges are processed as new orders.

Returned products must remain essentially unchanged and undiminished. Medanta may charge a reduction in value for items used beyond the statutory duty of care. Products must not be damaged, soiled, washed, altered, or worn.

Products Not Covered by the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed items that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened, such as underwear. It also does not apply to custom-made or modified items.

Returns and Refunds
Customers must return products in their original packaging with all parts and accessories within 14 days of the cancellation notice. Product tags must be intact. Any complimentary items must also be returned. A completed return form must be included.

The Customer must request and retain a shipping receipt and tracking code (JJFI). If a return is lost and no receipt exists, the Customer bears the risk. Proof of receipt by Posti transfers responsibility to the carrier.

Refunds are issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Exchanges are treated as new orders.

Refunds are processed promptly and no later than 14 days after the cancellation notice is received. Medanta may withhold the refund until the returned item is received or proof of return is provided.

The refunded amount is based on the original purchase price, even if the price has since changed.

12. Force Majeure
Medanta is not liable for delays, defects, or breaches caused by events beyond its control (force majeure). Medanta will still strive to serve the Customer as best as possible.

13. Processing of Personal Data and Cookies
Medanta processes personal data according to current data protection laws. More information can be found in the Privacy Policy.

The online store uses cookies as described in Medanta’s website terms of use.

14. Changes to Terms
Medanta reserves the right to change these Terms at its discretion by announcing them via the online store. Changes take effect upon publication. Continued use of the online store after notification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Finnish law, excluding its conflict of laws provisions.

If disputes arise, the parties will primarily seek resolution through negotiation. If this fails, disputes will be resolved in the District Court of Helsinki, Finland. Consumers may also take disputes to their local district court or the Consumer Disputes Board (PL 306, 00531 Helsinki).
