“It feels really good to be back at work.”

Jani Unkeri, the restaurateur of the Juurella restaurant in Seinäjoki, is looking forward to the restaurant summer with confidence.

"We are full of enthusiasm. Our people are really motivated. We know that a wonderful summer is coming. Domestic tourism is strong and at the same time, with the borders already open, we will get new people from Europe to get to know Finland. So the signs look good," Unkeri says.

According to Unker, in these busy times, it is important to invest even more in staff well-being.

"We are in an industry where we are part of people's celebrations. The good mood of our customers also rubs off on us. And of course this also goes the other way. Because we are in the service profession, the well-being of the work community is immediately visible to the customer."

"With very good feelings, this has been expected."

Severi Lukkarinen, restaurant manager at Helsinki's Brasa restaurant, is also looking forward to an all-time restaurant summer full of energy.

"I expect the summer to be the hottest summer ever. When people can get out again, the terraces and restaurants will definitely be packed."

"Yes, both consumers and workers have been waiting for restaurants to open again. Restaurant life is a big part of culture. It's not just about eating. It's a cultural event every time you go to a restaurant. You see people and you feel good. Meeting people is the best."

Workwear that can withstand use and looks. All summer long.

In restaurants and cafes, work clothes are once again subjected to constant heavy use, so it is important that they are durable without compromising on comfort and ease of care.

"Procuring proper work clothes for staff shows that the employer values their employees. When it comes to work clothes, it is important to think about what is really best for the employee," says Jani Unkeri of Juurella restaurant.

"Workwear should be stylish, but style cannot take precedence over comfort. High-quality workwear combines these qualities," Unkeri continues.

Medanta workwear detail
Small, tailored details make everyday work easier.

"Yes, a lot is required of workwear these days."

"This is hard work, so mobility and flexibility are important. It's hard to find work clothes that fit everyone, but Medanta found them. Work clothes are very important. If you're wearing a sack of potatoes, it's hardly uplifting," says Severi Lukkarinen of Brasa.

"The material of Medanta's workwear repels dirt nicely. Small spills can be wiped off with a rag. You don't necessarily need to wash your apron after every work shift," Lukkarinen concludes.
