Medanta and Dimex are both domestic companies whose clothing is designed in Finland. The Design from Finland brand is therefore an important common factor and the value compatibility between the new partners is otherwise very strong. In addition to a larger joint offering, Dimex customers have the opportunity to utilize Medanta's laundry network. In addition, Medanta has a rental service, which will also be available to Dimex customers in the future.
Medanta rental agreements also available to Dimex
According to Medanta's Business Director Mikko Soininen , Medanta's workwear rental model takes the entire life cycle of the garment into account and maintenance is arranged if the customer so wishes. Together, Medanta and Dimex can offer an even more comprehensive textile rental service, which includes rental, cleaning and repair. However, the customer always has the opportunity to choose the services they want, and the starting point is to tailor the package that best serves the customer at any given time.
"We genuinely let the customer choose what is the best way for them to purchase workwear. The customer can purchase the products through us and take care of the maintenance themselves, or alternatively purchase the clothes themselves and purchase the maintenance through us. Then, of course, there is a total service solution, where the customer can outsource everything to us. For example, the outsourced model is becoming more common in the construction industry," Soininen says.
When purchasing workwear, it is important to consider its maintenance.
In early 2023, employers in the construction industry will have a new obligation due to recent legislation: Ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of employees' protective clothing. The implementation method is to be agreed locally by February 28, 2023. This joint service solution will also give Dimex's customers the opportunity to ensure the cleanliness of their work clothing as easily as possible.
Timo Jutila, director of Medanta's Pirkkala laundry, says that when work clothes are maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions, they last longer. For example, Dimex's clothing uses a lot of high-visibility colors and reflectors, so their functionality is also guaranteed with regular maintenance and proper low-temperature washing.
"Medanta's clothing will be equipped with chips that make it easy to monitor the washing cycle and lifespan. This way, we can keep track of how the work clothes have been maintained and whether maintenance is necessary. In the future, such chips will also be found in Dimex's clothing," Jutila explains.
In addition to the smart chips, logistics have also been made very easy for customers. Medanta's laundry takes care of picking up dirty or damaged work clothes and delivering them back clean and serviced.
"It's great that our customers can find a partner for washing and maintaining their own clothes so easily. Through this collaboration, we can both expand our product and service offering, for which we have noticed a clear need among both customers," says Petteri Tirkkonen , Sales and Marketing Director at Dimex.
Together, Medanta and Dimex create even more added value for their customers
By choosing the Medanta-Dimex package, the customer can choose exactly the products, services and implementation methods they need. Comfortable and practical work clothes are an important part of enjoying work. In addition, clean and properly maintained work clothes last longer, thus reducing the overall costs of purchases. With an eye on the future, the cooperation will bring the necessary service solution to make the everyday lives of both Medanta and Dimex customers easier.
