Nurses' and doctors' clothing can also be comfortable and personalized. Medanta, a manufacturer of nursing clothing, wants to renew the dress code in healthcare in Finland and around the world .
Clothing also sends a strong message in healthcare. Medanta CEO Anu Kivelä enjoys seeing Finland's leading doctors and public figures walk the catwalk as mannequins for the company's clothing.
“It is important to us at Medanta that the clothing of the nursing staff and patients is comfortable, practical and also looks good,” says Kivelä.
It is therefore natural that the company will participate in the fashion show of the Aesthetics in Healthcare event in Helsinki. Posing on stage are, among others, HUS CEO Aki Lindén and Chief Administrative Officer Sanna-Maria Kivivuori , dance teacher and entrepreneur Aira Samulin , and University of Helsinki Chancellor Kaarle Hämeri. They are now wearing Medanta's clothing for healthcare personnel.
“Colors have a huge impact”

Legendary dance teacher and entrepreneur Aira Samulini is wearing a Shirt Dress from Medanta's Care collection. The dress's pattern is in line with Medanta's core philosophy: healthcare professionals can express their personality.
Samulini believes that it is absolutely important that attention is paid to clothing in healthcare as well.
“My daughter was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and I have visited the hospital thousands of times. I know that worn and stretched hospital clothes depress the patient. Colors have a huge effect on mood, and they are calming,” says Samulin.
“Comfortably feminine”

Sanna-Maria Kivivuori, HUS's administrative chief physician, presents a doctor's work uniform designed by Medanta, which combines a lace pattern and sporty striped pants.
"The outfit feels really good on me. It also has a nice little femininity. In the back room, the other models have especially admired the stripes on my pants," Kivivuori says.
The flexible material of this workwear is also antimicrobial, which reduces and even prevents the spread of hospital infections.
“I would wear it as work attire myself”

Coalition Party MP Sari Sarkomaa and HUS CEO Aki Lindén are wearing a black and blue flexible work uniform designed by Medanta for Pohjola Terveyte.
The latest textile technology has been used in the production of MedantaDenim and Flex materials. The outfit withstands intensive washing perfectly. The beanie, on the other hand, keeps your hair under control.
"It's important that you can move and be comfortable in your work clothes. This outfit feels really comfortable to wear. I could easily choose this as my work outfit if I worked in a hospital. The outfit also looks good, and it has harmonious colors," says Sarkomaa.
“Even the children calm down”

Espoo City Councilor Anna Rukko and the Chancellor of the University of Helsinki , Kaarle Hämeri, will be presenting workwear from the Mehiläinen collection, which is made from MedantaFlex and MedantaKnit materials.
"Children are often afraid of going to the doctor and the hospital. A comfortable, home-like environment and comfortable, colorful clothes could calm children down," Hämeri estimates.
“Important occasion”
Medanta's Anu Kivelä fashion show is a great opportunity to showcase the development of healthcare clothing to match the modern era.
“A beautiful garment made of high-quality and flexible materials strengthens the patient and promotes their recovery. The clothes we design for nursing staff, in turn, help doctors and nurses cope with their demanding work.”
